Multinationals are rampant in my country. They lure farmers
to take climate resistant seeds by offering them loans
[for] seeds, which are not Indigenous, by offering them
TVs, radios, and solar panels. In rural settings you’ll find
most [farmers] are illiterate, so they won’t read the terms
and conditions. At the end, they lose their lands to the
multinationals…
I [work to] make sure everyone is aware of their right
to secure food, to access and to own land. Because the
government does interfere with peasant farmers and not all
people are aware of their rights… So I’ll spread the gospel
and make sure people know about their right to food, to
access and own land. And also their rights as peasants.
